Why Is Epson Printer Showing Error Code 0X10? How To Fix?

Inspect the printer physically-

When Epson printer is unable to scan the documents due to the error code 0x10. you should power off the print machine/ scanner. Now open the print head and make sure that there is no obstructions between the scanning mechanism.

If you find small piece of paper/ clip or other stuff there. please remove it gently, now close the print header and try to scan the documents again.

Troubleshoot the network connection- 

when you get the Epson printer error 0x10 on the windows 10 or other computer. you should inspect the network connection between printer and computer.  Please assure that the epson printer is showing online status in the printer properties.

For USB Printers- 

If you are using the USB cord to connect a printer from windows computer, please check these things.

  • Be sure that the USB cable is functional and it is not broken.

Reboot your printer & Computer-

After checking the scanner mechanism, you should reboot the printer and computer once in the following manner.

  1. Let’s power off the printer , wait for a minute and then power it back on.
  2. Shutdown the computer as well, wait for a minute and then boot it up again.
  3. If you are using the wireless network, please reboot the router as well.

Update the printer driver-

Sometimes, an error code 0x10 appears on the Epson printer due to the faulty driver. For that, you have to update the printer driver and then perform the print/ scan task.

  1. Please open the control panel.
  2. Click on the devices and printers option.
  3. Right click on the epson printer and then click on the printer properties.

  1. Press the windows + X button.
  2. Click on the settings.
  3. Now click on the apps option and then click on the uninstall button.

Once the software will be uninstalled from the Epson printer. you need to reboot the computer once, and then setup the epson printer on windows computer again.

Reset The Printer-

After changing all these settings, the error code 0x10 should be disappeared from the Epson printer. somehow, If you are still dealing with the same error code. you need to factory reset the printer to the default settings.

  1. Let’s Power on the Epson printer.
  2. Press the menu button and then go to the settings.
  3. Scroll down and go to the factory reset option.
  4. Finally, press the ok button.

Once you will reset the printer to the factory default, you need to setup the printer again. and then try to print or scan the document.
